New (and final) Content Update!

Dear Guests, it is happening - we're approaching March 31st and fast! :)  We have updated loads of information on the Blog! This is very likely the last and final update with content on this blog. You can now find more information on the following topics: You can now find a step-by-step guide on how to organize Kimono rental (via Chiiya) here if you're interested. You can now find a short overview of the Wedding Day and the Ceremony specifically (partially in German) here . We've updated every single existing Google list for Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara, and have now also included lists for Tokyo and "rest of Japan" with more places such as restaurants, snack places, bars, sights, etc. Check out the links to the respective lists by following the pages on the left under "4. Japan". Make sure to access the Google lists on your phone, so you have them ready when exploring. For the lazy folks amongst you: Here's the Osaka List , here's the Kyoto List , he...

New Content!

Dear Guests, we've updated content on what to do in Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara! As you will find on the respective pages: We've included a link to a Google List per city/ location with some of the sights, restaurants, bars, etc. The Google Lists, we will continue to update. Check out the respective descriptions and lists here: For Osaka For Nara For Kyoto We will also continue to create further lists (e.g. for Tokyo and "across Japan" sights) in the future. As always: Let us know if we can help in any way! :)

New Content!

Dear Guests, we've included some details on what to wear and consider in terms of dresscode here on this page :) Also, you can find more details around money, tipping, and the cost of some common items on the updated General Information page. Additionally, in case you have noticed: We've changed the word "temple" into "shrine" for our wedding location, since we previously exclusively referred to it as temple. "Temple" is only used to describe Buddhist temples, "shrine" is used to describe Shinto shrines. The last one you can identify by the iconic Torii gates: Wherever you find some, it's a Shinto shrine, not a Buddhist temple. Shinto is the traditional and native Japanese religion. So it's only fitting that we use the correct word to describe the shrine we'll be marrying at :)  In the next updates, we'll share some more information on what to see, do, eat and drink when visiting some of the cities in Kansai :)  Best reg...

New Content!

Dear Guests, we've put additional information and updated the Blog :)  You can now find key information on how to travel around in Japan on the page Travelling in Japan . And since many have asked us about where to stay in Osaka and hotel recommendations: We've included the page Staying in Japan/ Staying in Osaka . It contains general information on what options you have when staying in Japan, but also specific location and district information for Osaka, so you get a lay of the land. Particularly, we've included an overview of some key locations (including direct links to Google Maps) in Osaka, from major train stations to the wedding location, so it's quick and easy for you to evaluate if the hotel you're currently looking at is convenient for you. We hope this helps in finding the right place to stay! As always: If there's anything unclear or something you'd like advice or help on, please reach out to us :) In the next content update, we plan to include ...

More Information to come soon!

Dear Guests, since we are in Japan since about a week and are now also off from work, we have managed to organize some more things about the wedding: From dresses, to food, to entertainment, we've spent almost two entire days at the temple talking through dozens of things :)  So watch out for more detailed information to come in the next days and weeks! Most importantly, in case you want to reflect this in your travel plans: The travel itinerary you can find in the Everything You need to Know section contains all trips and plans we have as of today. So if you want to tag along for all the things we plan to do, you would need to be in Osaka latest by the evening of Friday March 29th for our joint night out in Osaka, and would need to stay in Osaka at least until Wednesday April 3rd. Since everyone's travel plans and idea of pleasant travel are different, we do not currently plan to include more trips in and around Osaka. Some people will want to move on from the Kansai region...
